Comingsoon.net has the story that the creator of The OC will be doing a series based on the Gossip Girl books. It will be an hour-long drama.
I really don’t know what to think about this. I am always dismayed when trashy novels get the attention, but then I tend to hate what many studios do to the great novels. It is rather a Catch-22. But teen girls should be thrilled and you can be equally excited to know that the 11th volume in the series will be out soon!

i cant wait for the show…. the books are amazing! usually when books are made into shows/movies, they arent as good, so i hope they do good with the GG series!

If they fail miserably at an attempt to make this terribly addictive series into an addictive, nothing-like-the-OC, loveable, TV series, I will be very upset. This is going to take a lot of planning to get the characters just right. There are some other sites out there that have great ideas for casting, I hope that the producers have a good look at those ideas.

Oh my gosh this is going to be amazing. I loved the bookss. the author has a way to reel in us teenagers. I have had about all of my friends read the books. Including my guy friends. They all have liked them a lot. I just cant wait!!!

omg i am sooo excited i love the books and am totally addicted to them. I love the OC even the fourth season haha unlike many others s i totally have faith in him to make this show successful, id be shocked if it wasnt a huge hit!

i think that making Gossip Girl into a TV show is the worst idea ever. A movie would be so much better, the books would be ruined if they turned it into a tv show.

no… a movie wouldnt be good b/c you cant fit all books into the movie, but a tv series would be really good b/c they can continue with the story like she continues writing books. thats one of the gret things about the books.. theres no ending… so u always come back for more… as long as they stay tre to the story it should be good… but i dont think lindsay lohan should star as blair. she’s not a brunette, and itsnt very reliable… and might make the show go downhill…

I hate those books. Whatever teenagers read these books have issues. Teenagers should be reading books that could help you in college not books about lame teens in New York who do nothing but have sex, drink, smoke and swear all the time. They are stupid and no one should read them.

I love Gossip Girl i read them all and there my favorite book series and i also like to read the It girl novels and i love the book and i can’t wait until they make the show and hopefully it will be soon…<3

Im a big fan of the gossip girls series! Im worried tho that the show might not reach the books greatness! i really think blake lively is a bad person to play Serena and Lindsy Lohan blair and i read somewhere that they are going to be rivals? i mean they are still going to be best friends at times right? im so worried its going to be bad but i guess i have to wait until June 1st to find out…

I think that Gossip Girl will be the next big thing for the CW. Many teenage girls read Gossip Girl, and almost all of them love it. A TV series is more pragmatic than a movie, for the book is a series and will take longer than a movie.

I love Gossip Girls. They are the best books ever and they are soooo addictive. I’m hella sad she just wrote the last one. This seris better kick ass cuz I’m hella excited for it!!!!! I ‘m soooo glad Blake Lively’s playing Serena, she’s perfect for the role!

I LOVE THE GG SERIES!!!!!!!!. IT’S SO AWESOME THAT IT’S BECOMING A TV SHOW. I’VE BEEN READING GG SINCE I WAS 12 so I CAN’T WAIT FOR THE SHOW.
