The Tales of Beedle the Bard

Anyone else missing out on the hype over this book?  Or perhaps I have been too caught up in a sequence of flu, pink eye and then a holiday cold to notice?

I know that it will be a bestseller – no question.  But at our library system, for 30 libraries there are only 41 holds.  A lot less than any of the Twilight series currently have!  So is anyone desperate to read this one?

  1. We’re in a similar place–30 holds. I bought 8 copies and I’m sure more will come into the system but I’m not particularly concerned about it. I expect the hard core Harry fans will buy it and a few others will trickle in “to read that new rowling book” but overall there just hasn’t been the enthusiasm for it that was there for the HP books.
