Meet the new District One tributes, Marvel and Glimmer. They are to be played by Jack Quaid and Leven Rambin.
Follow the tributes yourself on The Hunger Games Facebook page.

Newcomer Willow Shields will play Katniss’ sister, Prim in the upcoming film. Again, it’s a face I really like.

Entertainment Weekly has the news that Lionsgate has cast the District 11 tributes, Thresh and Rue. Nicely, they are both played by newcomers. Thresh will be played by Dayo Okeniyi. The vital part of Rue will be played by Amandla Stenberg. Look at that face!
You can keep tabs on the casting via Liongate’s Hunger Games Tributes Casting Tab on Facebook.
/Film has the news that Anne McCaffrey’s first Dragonriders of Pern novel is being adapted for a film. The adaptation is being done by David Hayter, X-Men and Watchmen screenwriter.
And the screaming begins in my skull. I adore the world that Anne McCaffrey created in her novels and worry rather frantically how freaking bad this movie version could be.

Entertainment Weekly has the news that Josh Hutcherson has been cast as Peeta in the upcoming Hunger Games film. Liam Hemsworth has been cast at Gale. So we have our two male leads. I’m very interested now in who will be playing some of the secondary but vital characters.

The Magician’s Nephew may be the next Chronicles of Narnia book to be made into a film by Walden Media and Fox. While The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe did well at the box office, both Prince Caspian and Voyage of the Dawn Treader had disappointing returns.
The Magician’s Nephew is the sixth book in the series, but is a prequel to the series, so it makes sense to take it out of order. Besides, it is one of the more popular books in the series.
At this point, it is just planning. No one has been found to write the script.
