Dear Cornelia Funke, I am sending this through the Chicken House because I couldn’t get another way to contact you. I am 10 years old and I absolutely love Lord of the Rings. In the book Inkheart, there is a quiz at the end on various books. In question 17, the questions states ‘in the Lord of the Rings by J.R.R. Tolkien, who found the ring in the water? At the back of the quiz it says that it was Gollum that found the ring but it was actually Deagol, Smeagols best friend. I really like your books, I think you’re a great author, but because I’m such a Lord of the Rings fanatic, I got a bit worked up about the error. I’m really looking forward to the new Inkheart sequel book and I’m sorry if this is wasting too much time. Thanks so much for listening to all this, but it really is true that I am obsessed.
