Trickster’s Choice by Tamora Pierce (0375814663)
A new book from one of my favorite YA fantasy authors, who also wrote the Circle of Magic and The Lioness cycles. This book starts a new trilogy featuring Aly, the daughter of Alanna the Lioness. Aly wants to be a spy, she has learned about spying from her father, but both her mother and father see it as too dangerous a task for a teenage girl. Aly travels to visit family friends and is taken by slavers to another country where she is caught up in plots by a trickster god and finds uses for her spying abilities.
Pierce is popular with both boys and girls. Her fantasies are always cleanly written. Kids will enjoy this new character and a change from mages and knights. One to hand to teens who enjoy battles, magic and fantasies.

Waking Brain Cells 
whoa, talk about great books! I read it like 5 times before I could bring myself to start another book, knowing the next novel wouldn’t top the one I just read! The characters are a nice mix of oldies and fresh new faces with plenty of life and zest for all!

Its not like the other books, Aly doesn’t reall have much exciting things in the first pages, like the alanna series, but so far i think its prety good. after i read 36 pages i skipped to the end to see what happenens to Aly, its wasn’t what i expected. I have to say that the ending could be better, much better, but the book is already interesting. I think no book can live up to the Alanna series, but this is close. i just hope more exciting things happen, cause as i said i olny read 38 pages.
