The National Book Foundation has announced the longlist for the 2020 National Book Award for Young People’s Literature. The list will be shortened to give finalists which will be announced on October 6th with the winner announced on November 18. Here are the books on the longlist:

We Are Not Free by Traci Chee

When Stars Are Scattered by Victoria Jamieson and Omar Mohamed
I’ve already read ‘When Stars Are Scattered,’ which I liked. I’m looking forward to ‘King and the Dragonflies’ and ‘Cemetery Boys,’ I’ve read one other book by Kacen Callender and it was really good. π
