Reading Rants Top Ten for Teens

Reading Rants! has released their 2007 top ten teen books.

I have read so few of them!  So they are going on my list of ones to read.  I have read Wednesday Wars by Gary D. Schmidt, and LOVED it.  I consider it a top contender for the Newbery.  But I wonder at Sherman Alexie not making the list…

  1. Thanks for the shout-out for the Top Ten List. I knew I would get questioned about the Alexie, which I did enjoy, but not as much as some of the others on my list. And it’s getting so many accolades already, I thought does it really need my two cents? It’s already an NBA, and most likely will garner at least a Printz honor.

  2. It was just a quibble. 🙂 And I was thrilled to find so many books I haven’t read yet. So you may have just discovered even better gems that I missed. Can’t wait to dig into some of them!
